WHEN LIFE HURTS, NATURE HEALS

REWILDING THE LAND, REWILDING THE SOUL – YOUR GATEWAY TO ANCESTRAL HEALING

As a charity we are all about, Rewilding for Wellbeing, Rewilding for Nature, Restoring ourselves. At a time when many people feel increasingly disconnected from community, from the natural world, and sometimes from themselves we believe in the healing power of nature.

Our charity exists to bring together rewilding and mental support, creating spaces where both people and landscape can thrive.

Why rewilding? Rewilding is the process of allowing natural ecosystems to recover, regenerate and flourish. It’s about restoring woodlands, wetlands, meadows and wildlife so the land can heal and grow resilient again. But it isn’t just the land that benefits. When nature is given the chance to breathe, so are we.

Research and lived experience increasingly show that spending time in nature supports mental wellbeing. Fresh air lowers stress, natural light boosts mood, meaningful outdoor activity can ease anxiety and can lift depression, create a sense of hope and purpose.

Our projects harness this connection by offering:

Nature based wellbeing sessions, walks in nature, woodland therapy, and mindful immersion in wild spaces. Hands on conservation activities, tree planting, habitat restoration, wildlife monitoring and practical tasks that bring people back into rhythm with the land.

Welcoming spaces where people can connect with others, learn new skills and contribute to long term ecological recovery. Safe, gentle and inclusive settings where everyone, regardless of background or mental health journey can experience the benefits of nature.

Together our approach is simple, when we care for nature, nature cares for us. By restoring damaged ecosystems, we create landscapes that support wildlife, store carbon and protect future generations. At the same time, we create opportunities for individuals to rebuild confidence, find calm and reconnect with their own inner selves.

Join us on our journey, whether you want to volunteer, participate in wellbeing programs, support our conservation work, donate or help us spread the word, we welcome you with open arms. Together we can rewild land, rewild our hearts, restore hope and rebuild lives.

What is Shamanism?

Meet the Team

We see our vision continuing to grow out of the Heart Of The Wild at Anam Cara, to expand and touch hearts and mind, not only in the local community, but in the wider world bringing healing when life hurts.

Our Goals and Vision

Our vision is to continue to offer events and workshops on the Heart of the Wild land at Anam Cara, going from strength to strength in the coming years.

We also want to be able to extend this model into other areas of land up and down the country to provide similar opportunities for workshops, events and activities, with the infrastructure necessary such as yurts and compost toilets etc to offer well-being and healing for the local community, the shamanic community and the wider community.

Our ultimate goal is to establish a shamanic centre for residential courses with workshop spaces, a cooking and eating area, a library, treatment rooms, meditation room and outdoor venue spaces such as yurts and making use of any outbuildings. We would like to provide small outdoor spaces for individual retreats.

We would like to create herb and medicine gardens, a labyrinth, a medicine wheels, a sweatlodge site and a community vegetable garden and have woodland areas for vision quests, rites of passage and solitude.

Eventually we would like to offer off grid housing for a small permanent community to run the centre.

We see ourselves with so many others, as part of a global network for transformation, healing and mending the human relationship with the Earth.

Come and join us and be the change you want to see in the world.

Help us to rewild the land, and rewild your soul.
